Brick Memorial 2, Brick 0

Senior Pat Schlagenhaft scored two goals and the Mustangs (1-2-3, 1-0-2) battled their way for a win over the rival Green Dragons (1-6, 0-4).

Southern 2, Jackson Memorial 1

Senior Aidan Antonio scored two goals, including the game-winner off a pass from junior Matt Hoosack to deliver the Rams (2-3, 1-2) to a win over the Jaguars (3-3-1, 2-2-0). Sophomore Brody Reynolds assisted Antonio's first goal.

Toms River East 2, Central 1

Senior Kajus Matazinskas scored the game-winner off a feed from classmate Ryan Kozlej and the Raiders (2-1-2, 2-0-1) rallied to top the Golden Eagles (2-3, 1-3). Toms River East tied the game on a 20-yard strike by senior Jack Smyth.

Toms River North 1, No. 10 Toms River South 0

Junior Anthony Ruggiero scored the game's lone goal in the 17th minute and the Mariners (3-0-1, 3-0-1) held on to hand the Indians (3-1, 3-1) their first loss while remaining unbeaten themselves. Ruggiero received the ball 40 yards from the goal, blew past the Toms River South defense with the ball at his feet and hit the far side netting from 10 yards out on the right side.

 

Class B Central

Henry Hudson 0, Keyport 0

Ranney 2, Point Beach 0

Senior Ricky Nagy and freshman Alex Lennon each scored a goal and the Panthers (4-2-1) beat the Garnet Gulls (3-3) for the second time this season.

 

Class B South

Lacey 3, Manchester 2 (OT)

Senior Ethan Riley scored off a cross from classmate Mateo Musmanni with 20 seconds left in the second overtime period and the Lions (2-2-1, 2-2-0) pulled out a thrilling win over the Hawks (4-2, 1-2).

The two teams traded goals during regulation, beginning with a penalty kick by junior Matteo Pasqualichio to break the ice in the 17th minute.

Junior Joey Kurak drew Manchester even, by running onto a through-ball from senior Evan Weiner and finishing it in the 23rd minute.

Sophomore Danny Cardenes gave Lacey the lead back with a goal in the 44th minute, but Weiner came right back with an equalizer off a pass from senior Muberaq Aderogba.

Lakewood 2, Barnegat 1 (OT)

Freshman Eric Vargas scored the game-tying goal with 1:36 left in regulation and Kevin Moreno scored within the first two minutes of overtime as the Piners (2-2, 2-2) came back in the final minutes to stun the Bengals (3-3, 1-2) on the road.

Freshman Leo Chamorro gave Barnegat the lead with a go-ahead goal in the 67th minute.

No. 7 Point Boro 0, Jackson Liberty 0

Jackson Liberty (3-1-2, 3-0-1) goalkeeper Rocco Malangone saved a penalty kick in the 37th minute on the way to a shutout performance, but his Point Boro (5-0-1, 3-0-1) counterpart Andrew Holper authored a clean sheet of his own as the top two teams in the Class B South standings battled to a stalemate over 100 minutes.

Pinelands 3, Donovan Catholic 0

Senior Brogan Duelly scored two goals and junior Dan Eberlin also added one as the Wildcats (1-5, 1-3) raced past the Griffins (2-3, 1-3) to give coach Jim Campbell his first win as head coach.
