🚔 Two people sent to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries
🚔 The accident occurred between Route 37 and Colonial Drive in Manchester
An investigation continues into a Monday afternoon car accident involving a motorcycle and motor vehicle in Manchester Township.
Police say Anthony K. Williams of Lakehurst was driving a 2006 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle along Colonial Drive when a 2013 Chevy Equinox driven by a 16-year old veered in front of him coming off the Route 37 ramp.
Williams hit the brakes and put the bike onto its side but then ended up sliding into the Chevy, around 4:29 pm.
He was then brought to Community Medical Center in Toms River for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The 16-year old, who was driving with his NJMVC Learner's Permit, did not report any injuries but his passenger, 40-year old Sarah J. Jeffers of Manchester was brought to Community Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police said there were two others in the vehicle but they did not report any injuries.
The investigation into the Monday car accident continues but police said at this point the failure to stop and yield to the right of way of all vehicle traffic is a contributing factor.
