This Part of New Jersey Named One of the Best for Fishing 2024
When someone from New Jersey is asked about why they like the state, invariably, one of the top 3 responses is sure to be, The Jersey Shore.
People from Jersey take a lot of pride in the Jersey shore.
I mean, what's better than spending the day sunning on the white sand of the shore, listening to the sound of the waves as they crash before us?
According to an article on the website, fishingbooker.com, they think the Jersey Shore is great too.
They put out a list of the 9 Best Fall Fishing Destinations in 2024, and the Jersey finished number 2 on their list.
As any typical New Jerseyite would do, I had to see who finished ahead of us at number one.
The top fishing destination in 2024, according to the story, is Cape Canaveral in Florida.
What makes them so special you ask?
They say you can find plenty of Reds, Specks, and Flounder in the shallow waters, while the deeper water in the Atlantic features, Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel, and Tuna.
Cape Canaveral also has festivals throughout the fall season and even an occasional rocket launch.
When it comes to the Jersey Shore, the writer seems to get it.
Sure, we have some great fall fishing with Striped Bass and Black Bass in shallower water and Tuna as you get into the deeper waters.
But there's more to it than the fishing.
Fall at the Jersey Shore is awesome.
I'm reluctant to share just how great it is, because then we may draw too many fall visitors to our area.
As any true-blooded Jersey Shore resident already knows, the beach is so peaceful this time of year.
There may be a slight chill in the sea breeze, but a walk along the shoreline is like nothing else.
For those looking for sea glass, there's a treasure waiting to be found.
Those who love nature will marvel at some of the birds and other creatures that call the Jersey Shore home for the winter.
If you're really lucky, you'll get a chance to witness the migration of the majestic whales as they pass through.
Fall also brings many events worth checking out.
I think the website got it right.
