NJ Residents Warned to Discard This Milk Immediately

HP Hood LLC Recalls Lactaid
HP Hood LLC has issued a voluntary recall of certain Lactaid products.
The affected products are said to have trace amounts of Tree Nuts (Almonds), which are not listed on the label.
The products affected are the 96-once containers of Lactaid Milk sold between September 5 and September 18 at retailers in 27 states.
The recall, announced on September 20, is widespread.
States Where the Milk Was Sold
In addition to New Jersey and Pennsylvania, other states impacted by this recall include:
AL, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL,
IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN,
MO, MS, NC, NE, NY, OH, OK, TX, VA, WI, and WY.
The recall applies to 96 once containers of Lactaid with the expiration code,
The FDA says the problem was discovered during the company's routine maintenance routine.
Anyone who purchased the milk should return it to the retailer where you bought it or throw it away.
HP Hood has set up a hotline to answer questions.
The number, 800-242-2423 is available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
