Cape May Zoo Plans Big 2025 Fall and Holiday Season

The much-beloved Cape May Zoo is gearing up for the fall and beyond with some exciting events scheduled for the next couple of months.

Folks at the zoo say fall and winter holiday events are being added to their events calendar and it looks to be the best year yet.

County Commissioner Andrew Bulakowski, liaison to the Parks and Zoo, said, "The Park and Zoo team has truly outdone themselves with an exciting lineup of fall and winter events that are sure to bring joy to visitors of all ages."

Here's what you and your family can look forward to...

Star Wars Day

Join the zoo for Star Wars fun Saturday, September 13th, from 10 AM to 2 PM — photo opportunities with characters, trivia, and special "out of this galaxy" treats for the animals. Members of the Northeast Remnant 501st Legion will be at the zoo with their authentic costumes and role play.


Boo at the Zoo

October 25th — Halloween fun returns to Cape May County with Boo at the Zoo, taking place from 10 AM to 2 PM.

This is a full day of festivities for all ages and guests are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy children's games, candy giveaways, live entertainment, animal encounters, an inflatable obstacle course, and more.

A highlight of the day is the Halloween costume contest; registration starts at 10 AM and the contest starts at 11. Prizes will be awarded.

Pirates and Princesses

November 8th — Pirates and Princesses take over the zoo from 11 AM to 2 PM.

Visitors of all ages can dress up and enjoy activities for kids, crafts, games, Disney trivia, coronation ceremonies, an inflatable pirate ship, and lots of animals.

Santa Arrives at Cape May Zoo

November 29th — Santa's tree lighting celebration from 2 to 6 PM.

Join the holiday festivities with Santa's village shopping, live music and carolers, an ice sculpture carving, and Santa arrives at 5 PM for pictures with kids.

At the moment, the Cape May County Park & Zoo is open every day from 10 AM to 4:30 PM. Fall/winter hours begin on Friday, October 31st, and the zoo will be open from 10 to 3:30. Admission is free and donations are encouraged.
