Jersey Shore Theaters Showing Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’

The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Prince's classic 1984 film 'Purple Rain' has expanded into Jersey Shore AMC Theaters.

Many are still in shock over the passing of music legend Prince last Friday. Last Sunday, The Count Basie Theatre had one special showing of the flick and it was packed.

By popular demand, 'Purple Rain' will be showing for a limited time at the Freehold and Toms River AMC locations.

Purple Rain stars Prince as a young musician tortured by an abusive situation at home. He must deal with several issues on the rise of stardom, including a rival singer, a new romance and his tumultuous band. Prince won the Academy Award for Best Original Score for the film.
