A Manchester woman gets herself in trouble in Lakehurst after police in the borough say she allegedly walked around Dollar General Wednesday and helped her self to some items off the shelves.

Police say 55-year old Robin Sneddon put the items in her purse and almost walked out of the store before she was met by responding officers around 2:20 pm.

Sneddon admitted to police to taking the items from the store and placing them inside of her purse.

Investigators say she had for some items but planned to leave the store with the stolen goods.

She was brought to Lakehurst Police Headquarters where she was processed and released on a summons pending a mandatory court date on the shoplifting charges.

Sneddon also had an active warrant out of Manchester Township Municipal Court.

She was able to post partial bail on the warrant and was issued a new court date with Manchester Township Municipal Court.

There have been multiple incidents of Shoplifting reported at the Dollar General in Lakehurst in the recent months, according to police.

The public is reminded that all criminal charges are merely accusations and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
