Monmouth and Ocean County Public School Ratings
Inside Jersey has released its latest "grades" on New Jersey's public schools.
Here's how each school was graded. A comparison of results during a four-year period were taken into consideration for the first time, looking at '08 and '12. This showed trends in what the report called "student achievement."
Data from the New Jersey Department of Education and SAT scores were combined as well.
Four letter grades were assigned to each school. A, B, C and D.
Schools that had higher than average test scores earned As and Bs, schools with Bs were the ones that showed the most improvement in the last 4 years. Schools with below average scores earned Cs and Ds, but the C schools showed growth in the last year, sometimes very rapid.
