A series of anti-drug forums will be held in Monmouth County at several shore area high schools this week and then again on February 25th. The problem isn't something exclusive to Ocean County, although there has been a lot of attention focused there in the past several months.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office is hosting the forums. Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni will be the key speaker at the forums titled "Heroin: Are You Talking To Your Kids Yet?"

The office has partnered with Prevention First and Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey to host the events.

Gramiccioni tells Townsquare Media News "representatives from several agencies and treatment centers will be on hand to give information to parents and kids about the dangers. We want to prevent overdose deaths which have gone up alarmingly over the past few years."

The first forum will first take place at Neptune High School tomorrow followed by Ocean Township High School on Thursday and Holmdel High School on the 25th. All three begin at 7 p.m.
