The Jersey Shore is waking up to blizzard conditions as our much anticipated winter storm has arrived.

Here's what you need to know about the morning update, according to our meteorologist Dan Zarrow...

Blizzard Warning. It's in effect for Monmouth and Ocean Counties until 7:00pm with gust expected to be greater than 40mph at times.

Coastal Flood Advisory. In effect from 8:00am to 2:00pm. Minor flooding is possible with a surge that could get up to a foot.

Accumulations. Monmouth & Ocean Counties could see 6 to 10 inches of snow today with the potential for even more in some spots.

Timing. Heavy snow continues through mid afternoon and will taper off to snow showers through the evening.
