It's another holiday weekend. Time to decorate! Inevitably, there's going to be some stress, right? Anything from broken decorations to faulty lights can set you off. So, is there anything you can do to ease the tension? Yahoo.com reports that Christmas Decor president Blake Smith says yes there is. Among his suggestions, use quality products, keep it simple and have a plan. My wife and I decorated last weekend and I did something that helped alot. It didn't make Blake's list, but I'll share it with you anyway.

As I was preparing our holiday village, I took the time to talk to each little house individually, asking each not to break and begging each wire to please reach the extension cord. I also called a meeting with the tiny little trees and figures and reinforced the importance of standing up and not falling into the 18 bags of fake snow that surround them. Then I had a chat with our 6 lb. dog Zeus, reminding him it might be in his best interest to avoid the area completely. As all this was going on, I heard my wife on the phone with my Mom telling her she's worried about me. Hope that helps. Happy decorating! What stresses you out the most during the holidays?
