A North Brunswick man who was using a home in Long Beach Township to store and deal drugs will head to prison for seven years following sentencing in Ocean County.

Police in Long Beach began an investigation in 2019 and came to learn that a home in the Holgate section of the township was being used by 32-year-old Michael Klimowicz to store and deal drugs.

On January 27, 2019, Long Beach Police Detectives executed a court-authorized search warrant at that residence and found nearly 11.5-pound of Marijuana, undisclosed quantities of other illegal drugs, and about $9,300 in cash.

Klimowicz was arrested at the home without incident, brought to the Ocean County Jail, and then released from custody because of New Jersey's Bail Reform Law.

Eventually, he pleaded guilty in court to the crime and has now been sentenced to seven years behind bars for  Possession of Marijuana in a Quantity Greater than Five Pounds but Less than Twenty-Five Pounds with Intent to Distribute.

Prosecutor Billhimer also announced that Ocean County Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Kristin Pressman handled the case on behalf of the State.
