Ocean man intent on burglary enters truck with driver still inside

An Ocean Township man, who is tied to at least eight other car burglaries in the area, tried committing the same crime with the driver still inside the vehicle.

Ocean Township Police officers said they were dispatched to the Colonial Terrace / Wanamassa section for a man who was observed entering the callers truck.

The accused was located by patrol officers and following an investigation, was placed under arrest.

Robert Womble, 57, was in possession of proceeds from several vehicle burglaries that had been reported in the area as well as drug paraphernalia.

Womble was charged with several counts of Burglary as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and transported Monm outh County Correctional Institution.
