Police search for man who tried to rape Rutgers student on street

Authorities in Middlesex County are on the hunt for a man who allegedly attacked a female Rutgers University student early Wednesday morning.

Police say the alleged incident took place in the area of College Avenue and Seminary Place in New Brunswick on Wednesday about 3:30 a.m.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office did not release other details and not details were released.

Police spoke with the victim, who was then taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Her condition is unknown.
