New Jersey normally gets a lot of grief in studies like this, but this one puts us in a really good light.

According to 24/7 Wall St, New Jersey is a really good state to live in. How good? How about the 3rd best state to live in in the United States? No typo there. We didn't mean 23rd, 33rd or 43rd. We meant 3rd.

So, how do they figure that? Have they heard of the traffic, congestion, cost of living and taxes here? Have they heard the jokes?

Here are some of the reasons for New Jersey's high ranking, according to the study...

Bachelor’s degree attainment rate of 40.8%...that's over 8% higher than the national rate.

Median annual household income of $81,740...which is about $20,000 more than the national average.

Less violent crime...our rate of 208 violent crimes per 100,000 people is well below the 369 per 100,000 national average.

You can check out the complete results at 24/7 Wall St. In the meantime, count your blessings. You live in the 3rd best state to line in in the whole country.
