Asbury Park, NJ is a seaside community located in Monmouth County, NJ.
The city was named for Francis Asbury, the first American bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church in the United States.
Asbury Park has a rich musical history and is home to the famous Stone Pony, Convention Hall, Paramount Theater, and other venues. Many famous musicians have passed through Asbury Park, but perhaps none other is more synonymous with the town than Bruce Springsteen. Springsteen's connection to the city was cemented with his album "Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ".
