This open letter is thanking the people of Belmar and surrounding areas for attending the Belmar St. Patrick's Day Parade and talks about how great it was to see people getting together and local businesses thriving.
Holly Corbella of Parties by Bellas blames the "older, male-dominated" parade committee for the decision, and said her business interests are focused on female empowerment, not just sex.
Since 1974, the Jersey Shore has come together on Main Street in Belmar for the St. Patrick's Day Parade. This year the tradition continues Sunday, March 2.
The Belmar St. Patrick's Day parade is an annual tradition that for me is one of the first true early signs of Spring.
Are you ready for this weekend's festivities?
I know it's still February and we're not out of the winter woods yet, but this weather certainly has me, and many others, thinking about spring. I love it because nothing's better than nice weather at the Jersey Shore, and it means summer is right around the corner. For me, the first sign of spring is the Belmar St. Patrick's Day Parade. I know it's not the official start, but it works for me!
