At first glance, it looks like a tornado touched down in Southern Ocean County, but fear not...this was a planned operation as crews demolished a former law office in Downtown Tuckerton.
I was driving south on Rt. 35, and I saw what appeared to be a preview of what will be built where the old Circus Drive-In used to stand. Yup, I was heartbroken. It's official, there will never be another Circus Drive-In. Dramatic? I can't tell you how many times I enjoyed a Circus Drive-In vanilla ice cream cup with a lollipop sticking out of it. The place was a Jersey Shore landmark for 64 years and to this day, many locals will say they wish the establishment was still around.
If your commute takes you through Downtown Toms River, then you may have noticed that there is construction going on at the buildings across from the Ocean County Jail.
As you know, if you join us on a regular basis, I love to jump in my car and just tour the neighborhoods here in Ocean County and look for interesting sights, new construction, and possible areas of interest to share with you at home.

So here we are in Southern Ocean County and we are looking at a new project that I recently spotted on Bay Avenue in Manahawkin. Looks to be a fairly large area (lot) that’s being set up for future construction.
This time around I am in Southern Ocean County and some new construction that is in full production caught my eye. As I was recently traveling through Barnegat Township this project along West Bay Avenue had me asking "what's this?"
More construction work continues in the Lakewood area, this time it’s the former Route 70 flea market. The Route 70 flea market was extremely popular for years with folks looking for great bargains at this large outdoor flea market in Lakewood.
It seems like it has been awhile since we first started talking about this building, probably has been a while, but the Ocean First building continues to grow and it’s coming down the wire now until it’s completed.
So as you can see the renovations continue at the White Castle on Route 37 in Toms River. Looks like they have made their way around the outside, giving the “castle” and update and it's looking good.
This property is located on Route 37 near Garfield and Harding Avenues in Toms River. It's a pretty decent size lot and I believe is a “corner” property. Perfect spot for something new and exciting here in Ocean County.
