I just wanted to take a minute this morning to thank everyone who came out to Branches Catering last night for the Taste of Home Cooking Show. I had a great time and I'm sure everyone else did as well.

As you know, I'm trying to learn to how cook. My wife is a great cook, but she works hard all day, so I want to help. I've been grabbing recipes from allrecipes.com and that's been working out, but I thought I could probably get some good ideas from TV chefs.

I don't know what has gotten into me this week, but suddenly I think I'm a cook. I have spent  a good part of this week in the supermarket and in the kitchen, and I'm lovin it! Nothing elaborate, steak and chili so far, but so far, they've turned out ok . Of course I have no idea what I'm doing, and I'm not sure where anything is. I spent twenty minutes looking for the measuring cup yesterday. Rea
