Before you throw away your Christmas tree, think about helping to rebuild the dunes at Island Beach State Park

The beach replenishment contractor, Weeks Marine, will be returning to Point Pleasant Beach to pump additional sand in sections that experienced significant erosion during May's severe weather storms.

The clock is ticking until Memorial Day but Jersey Shore Congressman Chris Smith has announced that beach restoration work in Point Pleasant Beach is being made to address the erosion caused by the persistent rain over the past week.
