As tragic as Hurricane Harvey has been, could you imagine having your life saved by a total babe!? *Cue damsel in distress faint*

As pictures of the destruction wrought by Hurricane Irma in St. Martin, Puerto Rico, and now parts of Florida have been filling our television screens, social media feeds, and news websites, another island that was ravaged by the storm hasn't gotten much press - the island of St. John.

Head on over to the Beach Haus Brewery tonight for taste testing fundraiser with all the proceeds going towards those who are suffering from Hurricane Harvey.

As another form of fall out from Hurricane Harvey, a plane full of dogs will be delivered via Berry Aviation to 50 Airport Road in Morristown later today from approximate 3 to 3:30 PM. 

Mayor Matt Doherty said many were generous with helping Belmar get back on its feet after Sandy and he sees this as a way to pay it forward.

Local chef and philanthropist Joe Leone is once again stepping up to help those in need.

Kudos to Mayor Doherty and his team for coming up with an excellent idea to raise funds and aid victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Over 100 dogs were transported from Texas to Monmouth County and are now at St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center ready to be adopted. 

Rutgers athletics is doing their part to assist in Hurricane Harvey relief efforts by setting up donation bins at tonight's football game.

Many experts are saying Hurricane Harvey will multi-billion-dollar disaster as some areas of Texas could receive as much as 40 inches of rain when all is said and done. Here's what we can do to help our friends in the south.
