Izod Center

It's now been more than seven years since the venue was open to the general public, but New Jerseyans may be surprised to learn it's far from laying dormant.

As we reported earlier, the fate of the Izod Center's future was put on the line today with virtually no notice. And now it's official. The 34-year-old arena will shut down by the end of the month.

It was once one of the most popular concert venues in the state...and now it might be closed for good by the end of the month.

I got to go to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band last night at the Izod Center...and like I said yesterday, I'm not a superfan, but man, can they put on a show!

Coldplay's latest album "Mylo Xyloto" was released in October, and Chris Martin & co. will spend 2012 promoting the album with a North American tour.
