A team of assessors from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police are scheduling a visit to Ocean County to evaluate the Ocean County Sheriff's Office.

Ahead of the new school year the Stafford Township Police Department held an active shooter training drill at couple of the local district schools to continue to be ready for a situation they hope never happens anywhere.

"We are trying to reduce the interactions that police officers have with citizens, so we want to make sure that it's a violation that warrants calling us," he said.
