A bill passed by the Assembly could double the fines for those drivers who clog the left or center lanes instead of using them for passing, according to a report at nj.com.

New Jersey seems to put a lot of obstacles between you and where you're trying to go. When you need the help of some open road, something always seems to be in the way.

The idea of just hopping on the Parkway and driving to your destination without giving a thought to what time it is or what day it is are over for a while. This weekend we open our doors to the word. It's summer at the Jersey Shore.

I woke up this morning to the sound of my smartphone vibrating until it fell off the nightstand. It must be 4am.

How many times do you race out of the house in the morning to try to get to work on time only to get stuck in ugly Garden State traffic on the Parkway, 35, 70, Route 9 or any of the other roads that drive us all crazy. Well, we have a new excuse to tell the boss. If Nicki Minaj can do it, so can I!

The Jersey Shore is known for many things. Among them, beaches, vacations, good people, big hair, Snooki and of course traffic. But which Monmouth and Ocean County town has the worst traffic?

I thought after Labor Day, we got a traffic break. That's not what I've seen on the Parkway.

I think most people in Monmouth and Ocean Counties are pretty good people and pretty nice neighbors. We'll share milk and sugar, and even throw an extra burger or two on the grill for each other once in a while. But when it comes to shortcuts that can get us around summer traffic, we keep those secrets like they are matters of national security.

This morning featured some pretty heavy downpours. It got me thinking about which Monnmouth/Ocean roadway was the worst on a bad rain day.

Here comes our favorite time of year. The sun, the boardwalk, the beaches and the tourists. All of those are welcome words to area businesses who are hoping for a big summer tourist season, and we would love to see it be the biggest summer ever! Even still I remember sitting on the Parkway one steamy Friday last summer.

Every day, it seems that it's a challenge to get then day started and get to work on time. There are only about a thousand things that can go wrong and put you behind schedule and make you late for work, and it only takes one to mess you up for the whole day.

We all know there is at least one thing that will annoy us on the roads of Monmouth and Ocean Counties each day. Liz, Nancy and I were talking about the infamous traffic circle on the show this morning and how it can be a pretty confusing and annoying place. Circles certainly aren't the only source of aggravation for drivers in our area, though.
