The Manalapan-Englishtown School district was one of the first to start talking about stepping up security measures after the Newtown tragedy. Can there ever be too much safety? Yes, and now they've made a ridiculous decision.

There have been a lot of videos and photos going around online making an unbelievable claim about the Sandy Hook school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.

Marlboro Township has announced that starting next week, when students return from winter break, they will be greeted with armed guards outside their schools.

The last few months have certainly given us a lot to think about, and as the New Year approaches, I'm sure those thoughts will shape our New Years resolutions in many ways.

The Newtown tragedy brought 1000 thoughts to each of our minds and a million emotions. In the midst of the tears and sorrow, it crossed my mind what true heroes teachers really are.

More funerals for the victims of the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut are planned for today as the Sandy Hook Elementary School looks to starting classes again after the holidays.

As we reported to you yesterday, star New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz kept his post game promise to visit the family of a 6 year old Newtown victim. Jack Pinto loved Victor Cruz, and when Cruz found out about it, he wrote the boys name on his football shoes just prior to Sunday's game in tribute.

Newtown, Connecticut tries to return to familiar routines as school resumes for most in a town shattered by the murder of 27 people inside the Sandy Hook Elementary School and two more young victims are laid to rest.

The unthinkable happened. The reality of that has hit all of us in the deepest places of our hearts and minds. Our lack of words is replaced with an abundance of tears. And now the things that really matter become our top priority.

What happened Friday in Newtown, CT is unthinkable. There still are no words. The families of the victims have shared how they would like us to honor and remember their loved ones.

As the first two two funerals for victims of the shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut  are done, a moment of silence has been requested to mark the one-week anniversary of the tragedy as police continue their investigation and new informaton about the case is revealed

A grief-stricken Newtown began laying to rest the littlest victims of the school massacre, starting with two 6-year-old boys — one of them a big football fan, the other described as a whip-smart youngster whose twin sister survived the rampage.
