After more than two centuries, downtown freehold is the central gathering place for western Monmouth county for a reason. BECAUSE. IT. ROCKS. Oh and by the way, the Freehold Summer Concert Series is back baby!

There is not much that will spark panic in a Mom more than spotting a tick. Do they not send shivers up your spine? They are gross, unsuspecting and can make us really sick. It's the first day of tick season by the way...April to mid-to-late October is when they are in full swing. Experts are predicting that the tic population in New Jersey to be off the charts this year. Well super.

It is that time of season and anyone with even one green thumb is thinking “gardening”. Great hobby, productive, safe outdoor activity, healthy etc. My wife April has extended our garden this year and it will be bigger than ever.

Though easily accessible in the modern age of fast-paced transport, many of these wild lands were only accessible by foot when early explorers discovered their natural wonders.

Mother Nature we need sunshine and fresh air and mild temps....so we can get outside and enjoy.

The "last great race" began this week in Alaska, the Iditarod dog sled race. The race is much h different this year because of the CVID 19 Pandemic. The race began in a more isolated area as opposed to busy downtown Anchorage and the race has been shortened. Spectators are allowed but are being advised to follow safety protocol. The Riders and dog teams are also being kept more at a distance this year to protect not only the participants but spectators as well.

It’s winter and we are still in the grips of a pandemic, board yet? I think we all need a distraction or we become bored and depressed. It’s been like a year since life changed and if you are practicing safe distancing and quarantine then you probably have become a lil stir crazy at home.
