The unthinkable happened. The reality of that has hit all of us in the deepest places of our hearts and minds. Our lack of words is replaced with an abundance of tears. And now the things that really matter become our top priority.

In the midst of the devastation around the Shore, I sometimes close my eyes and try to fast forward my mind to the beginning of Summer 2013, when the doors of the Jersey Shore opens once again and we get to show off the amazing rebuilding job we did. I know that's far away and a huge challenge, but I also know if anyone can do it, we can.

It happens to the best of us. You're driving along, minding your own business and you go to change lanes and you cut somebody off. You didn't even see them, but it's still your fault. So, how do you say "I'm sorry"

We all know driving in New Jersey can be an adventure anytime, anyday, but have you ever seen the reaction of some Garden State drivers when someone near them tries to actually keep it to the speed limit?

With each passing day, I get a little more upset that summer is winding down here at the Jersey shore. Then I stop and remind myself that our summer is just about to begin!

I am a huge fan of summer, but when we're expecting temperatures close to 100, it's tough to be optimistic about that. But before we get into full New Jersey 'complain mode', let's consider some options.

There is a law 1958 law on the books that bans bathing suits on the boardwalk in Asbury Park. One former councilwoman has suggested that authorities should enforce the law, but that idea is meeting resistance, including Asbury Park Deputy Mayor John Loffredo who says that law will be repealed. Let me just say this...hold everything!!

I can understand both sides of the Point Pleasant Beach argument. Those who live near or around Point Pleasant Beach are concerned about their quality of life, and rightfully so. But as a fan of local businesses, I certainly don't want to see businesses hurt.
