Sandy Hook Lighthouse

Daily walking tours of the Sandy Hook Lighthouse are offered every half hour, up and down 95 steps plus a nine-rung ladder.

The Lighthouse Challenge of New Jersey takes place in October at 16 participating locations from Sandy Hook to the Delaware Bay.

One of the most historic spots in New Jersey finds itself among the most famous in the country.

It is the oldest operating lighthouse in America, it’s 257 year's old. The Sandy Hook Lighthouse, designed by Isaac Conro, was built in 1764.
