Hazlet Police have issued a BOLO alert in hopes you can help them identify a man wanted for questioning following a bank robbery that took place at the TD Bank on Bethany Road.
The man who allegedly threatened to shoot up a Toms River bank unless he was given money, five days before Christmas, awaits court proceedings while being held in the Ocean County Jail on $100,000 bail.
The man suspected of trying to hold up a bank in Brick Township just before midday today also allegedly jumped the counter and assaulted the teller, according to police who are circulating surveillance images to establish his identity.
The suspect in the robbery of a TD Bank branch in Howell late Monday night leaves behind a valuable clue that police hope will jog the memory of someone who views it. They believe that it might be only the latest in a bank-job spree in Monmouth and Middlesex Counties.
TD Bank is hiking fees for a variety of services on its checking accounts. The bank says the higher fees will apply to wire transfers, certified checks, money orders and stop-payment fees.
