There was a ton of excitement surrounding Tim Tebow's visit to FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood this past Sunday.

Rain delayed the inevitable this weekend at the Jersey Shore with wind and rain heading north towards New Jersey along with Tim Tebow and the Columbia Fireflies who are in town until Tuesday to play the Lakewood BlueClaws. On Sunday he discussed his professional and personal journey to this point.

The Lakewood BlueClaws (Philadelphia Phillies Low-A Team) weekend series with the Met's Low-A Team, The Columbia Fireflies will be filled to the brim with fans and excitement for at least a couple of reasons. Minor League rivalry matchup? Maybe. Watch the red-hot BlueClaws prospects continue dominating early in the season? Perhaps. Watch 29-year old Tim Tebow play outfield for the Fireflies? Mostly certainly yes.

From the gridiron to the baseball diamond, former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow's dream of playing in the major league's one day heads to Lakewood this weekend, but if you want to go to a game at First Energy Park buy your tickets sooner rather than later.

This is not a poll about football. I was watching the Jets last night and, frankly, wondering why Eva Longoria is dating Mark Sanchez I just can't figure out why. But what do I know, I'm just a guy.

At Tim Tebow's press conference, he said he was 'excited to be a Jet' about one thousand times. I may be rounding up slightly, but it seemed to be included in every answer somehow, and that's a good thing. He seems like a sincere guy who's not just saying what his agent or the general manager told him to say. He's saying what he actually thinks. He IS excited to be a Jet!

I know of quite a few women who know next to nothing about football but are SERIOUSLY crushing on Tim Tebow, and are now worried that he's going to  get ripped to shreds by 'mean and scary' New York and New Jersey residents, critics, and fellow players.
