With springtime comes the official start of tropical storm and hurricane season. The National Hurricane Center is out with its list of chosen names for this year's storms. Is your name on it?
As hurricane seasons begins on Saturday June 1 and continues thru November 30, Jersey Shore law enforcement and public officials want to make sure you're prepared for the stormy weather in 2019.
In large part the Jersey Shore was spared by the wrath Hermine caused other areas along the east coast, and many communities who prepared ahead of time are also thankful because things don't look all that bad.
Hermine is now considered a post-tropical cyclone as of Saturday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
