Maybe you were like me and enjoyed every minute of this summer, and every hamburger. Summer is a tough time to eat right and stay in shape. So what can you do now to start getting yourself back in shape? Dr. John Connors from Meridian Health joined us on the morning show to help us get started!

Dr. Connors, DPM, is a board certified sports podiatrist for Meridian Health and has treated world record holders and Olympians, including several at this year's London Games, and he has some advice for us. According to him, here are the ways to get back on course.

First of all, he suggests pacing yourself when you get started. He has seen many people jump in too quickly and wind up with an injury. Secondly, you have to keep an eye on your diet. On the show this morning he put it pretty simply. He said you have to be burning off more than you're putting in. And of course he reminds everyone who is doubting themselves that they can do it if they put their minds to it!
