For Petes Sake is named for Race President PJ Gibbs’ dad, Peter Gibbs, who was a lifelong Manasquan Resident. Peter spent his life giving back to others and selfless service. He was an usher at St. Dennis Church and was a member of the Manasquan Chain Gang from 1995-2011. Pete was always there when anyone needed anything, with no questions asked. PJ wants to keep his memory alive by giving back to the community.
