Despite what you may have heard or what some stand up comedians might have you believe, most people in New Jersey are happy to be here.

According to a Monmouth University Polling Institute Poll, nearly two in three people who live in New Jersey say it is either en excellent place to live (15%), or a good place to live (48%).

And here's more good news for the Garden State. 70% of those surveyed rated their particular town positively, and just over 60% give good grades to their local schools. And residents of New Jersey apparently feel safer, Two-thirds (67%) give positive ratings to neighborhood safety. That is up 7 points since December.

The results are up from last spring, and back to the perception of quality of life that residents of New Jersey felt three years ago, according to the report.
