This dog had a horrific life. But she was saved by some wonderful doctors and she now needs a forever home.

Our Point Pet of the Week is Nena....a precious one-year-old at the Monmouth County SPCA.

She was hurt very badly by people in Puerto Rico (they named her machete...if you need any indication of what was done to her). But she was rescued and brought to NJ, where veterinarians saved her life.

Nena is ready to start a new life and is FULL of love. She is great around cats, dogs, and children!

She is very sweet and sensitive and lets you know what she wants whether it's a potty break or playtime. She will gladly drop a ball or toy at your feet, then sit and wait for you to play.

Any family would be fortunate to have Nena in their home. Click here for more information. Or call 732-440-1536.

Also tonight is Remember Me Thursday, when candles are lit for animals who didn't make it out alive.
