Adam Levine Lands First Lead Movie Role

He's already the front man for one of the biggest bands on the planet, Maroon 5, but will he be just as successful on the big screen?

According to Deadline.com, Levine will star opposite Keira Knightley in "Can A Song Save Your Life."

They play a couple that moves to New York to pursue music careers. He dumps her to pursue a solo career, and soon after she is discovered by a record producer played by Mark Ruffalo.

Shooting begins this summer with a release planned for 2013.

This isn't Adam's first move into acting. He's set to appear in several episodes of American Horror Story on FX.

If he's planning to take his shirt off, I'll be much more likely to watch. Just sayin'.
