An Award Winning Sweater

It's almost always nice to win an award. Almost always, but it is ugly sweater season, and now I'm an award winning sweater wearer.

That's right, the current holder of the ugliest sweater trophy at the Russo's 1st annual ugly sweater party is...me. I would like to thank the judges for appreciating the truly fine line between cutting edge fashion and ugly. It's, of course very subtle.

So when my wife found one of the very, very, very colorful sweaters my Dad gave me as a hand-me-down, she knew she was just a few decorations away from a winner. When I was announced as "ugliest" at the party I saw a tear of pride welling in her eyes.

I guess being married to award winning ugly is fantastic enough. But ugliEST. That has to be a proud moment for any woman. Diane, you are a lucky lady.

And by the way, thanks to our friend Melissa Santoro for making that awesome trophy. I will treasure it!
