We hit the history books and did a little history quiz yesterday to see if you know how some Monmouth County towns got their names. How did you do?

Well, it's time to find out. Let's review the clues we gave yesterday and then give you the correct answers. Here are yesterday's clues again.

Town 1…was named after a U.S. Senator who’s first name was Garret.

Town 2…was named after the contents of the mud that was prevalent in the area.

Town 3…got it’s name by shortening the Native American name given to the land by the Lenni-Lenapé tribe.

Ok, let's see if you got them right. Here are the Answers:

Town 1...Wall Township

Town 2...Marlboro

Town 3...Rumson

Great job if you got them all right. Get more historical info for Wall, Marlboro and Rumson and thanks for playing along!
