Baby Born At Nearly 14 Pounds

A mom in Monte Vista, Colorado gave birth to a 22 inch long baby weighing 13 lbs, 13 oz. The mother was expecting to deliver a 7 pound baby.

The adorable baby, Mia Yasmin Garcia, needed to be flown to a children's hospital because of low glucose levels and some respiratory difficulty, but is now stable, according to usatoday.com. The family is hoping they can take the baby home in a week.

The mom, Alisha Hernandez, was scheduled for a C-section yesterday (12/4) but went into labor on Monday and had the baby by C-section.
