Beautiful Local Garden

I have a friend. Her passion is gardening. A stroll around her garden changes my day for the better. Here are some pictures.

I realize that you can't inhale the amazing scents through this blog that you would experience in a garden such as this, but at least I can share with you some of the beauty of the things growing there.

Claire Winters is a professional gardener, but has a love so strong for plants, flowers, vegetables, and fruits that she spends around 8 hours a day in her OWN garden, taking pleasure in the work she does for her own back and side yards.

And I owe her an extra big THANK YOU for growing fresh Basil for me so that I could conjure memories of my grandmother while passing down her recipe for Pesto to yet another generation when I taught my son how to make it last week. Nona is smiling down from Heaven, and our family is enjoying her special recipe, made with love from Claire's perfectly grown Basil.

Oh, how I wish I had a green thumb!
