Big Pet Adoption Event in Toms River Sunday

Many rescue groups will be on hand with their most adorable adoptables, so maybe you will find the dog or cat that is perfect for your family!

North Shore Animal League is making a stop in Toms River on their Tour for Life this Sunday, April 24th, at Petco on Hooper Avenue. Look for their big mobile unit from Noon - 4 pm.

At least 10 rescue groups will have their pets on site, including Puppy Love Pet Rescue, The Pittie Project, Cane Corso Rescue, Volunteer Auxiliary for Animal Shelters, Jersey Shore Animal Shelter, Calling All Cats Rescue, BFF Dog Rescue, Montclair Animal Shelter, SAVE Rescue, and Jersey Shore Animal Foundation.

Other vendors on hand will include Bark Lane Boutique, NJSPCA, Bojangles Bolicious Biscuits, Endless Pawsibilities, K9 Caregivers, and Chad Dawson homemade dog houses.

Hanlon's K9 will be giving obedience demonstrations at 1 pm and 3 pm, Brick Vet will be doing microchipping, Dancers Pointe Toms River will be having dance demonstrations, and Girl Scout Troop #601 from Manchester will be selling cookies.

There will also be a dog costume contest, a bake sale and t-shirts for sale.
