I've lived in Toms River my entire life. When I was younger, I played Little League for TRELL and this store was a must before and during every season. It was definately part of my childhood. I was sad to hear today that Bob Kislin's in Toms River is closing after 40 years.

Owner of Bob Kislin's Outdoor Sports, Ron Kislin is retiring and leaving behind a legacy. If you ever shopped at "Kislin's," you know that the store had a very loyal customer base. The "big box" sporting good stores were right around the corner, but you went to Bob Kislin's to support a local business and family that have been at the Jersey Shore for a very long time.

The original Bob Kislin's opened in 1946 on Main Street in Asbury Park. In 1974, they relocated to their current Rt. 37 Toms River location. Keep in mind that in 1974, TR was just developing into the huge town it is now. It quickly became the neighborhood sporting goods store.

The store's last day is July 31. Merchandise is 20-50% off. Thank you Kislin family for serving the Shore for all these years. Enjoy retirement!
