Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein, from Long Branch, makes movies and plays about teens, tweens, selfies, social media, bullying, and more. Her latest film has just been accepted into a short film festival.

Barbara's films, titled "The Truth, a Short Film" and "Falling in Love, A Coming of Age, Selfie Film" have both been accepted to the BRIGHTTAVERN Short Film Fest in Jersey City March 3rd - 5th.

Barbara is all about empowering young women. She's a local psychologist who uses her knowledge and experience to help girls and women through books, short films, and presentations/workshops.

Her most recent film, "Falling in Love, a Coming of Age Selfie Film" stars 14-year old Megan Brown from Brick. This is one of the films going to the film festival on March 3rd.
