Meet Butterfly, who came to the Monmouth County SPCA as a really shy, stray dog. As she started to make friends with the shelter staff and volunteers, she came out of her shell and grew into the beautiful butterfly that she is today.

She loves to play with other dogs and is so good at adapting her play style to that of whatever dog she's playing with that she has become the official 'helper dog' for her canine friends at the shelter.

Butterfly is a terrier mix, about a year-and-a-half old, and is a smart, fun-loving girl. She knows basic commands like 'sit', 'stay', 'come', and 'paw.' And, if you don't mind, she will be climbing into your lap to snuggle. She is the best lap dog!

This gorgeous animal loves to take long walks, and also enjoys trips to the beach and adores taking car rides!

Also, if you know someone who owns a food truck, the MCSPCA is preparing for their annual Dog Walk + Pet Fair and is looking for some yummy vendors to sell their food for the event at Brookdale Community College.
