Chocolate Bar Coming to Asbury Park

Stars like Jake Gyllenhal, Scarlett Johanson, and Leonardo DiCaprio frequent the Chocolate Bar in NYC. Now its headquarters is moving to Asbury.

Chocolate Bar is a candy store for adults (although my kids love it, too!). Alison Nelson, who launched Chocolate Bar, says she considers Asbury Park the next great American town.

Alison opened her first Jersey Shore location in 2013 in Manasquan, but now she is relocating Chocolate Bar's headquarters to Asbury next year. It'll be located near Lakehouse Music Academy and Asbury Festhalle and Beirgarten. (Washing down your beer with chocolate? What could be better?!!)

Chocolate Bar is more like a coffee shop than a store. You can hang out for hours, and Alison says it will be like a 'clubhouse of cacao' with performances, readings, cooking, and other creations. Come alone, or bring your friends for some chocolate fondue!
