DIY Manicure Tips Needed

What girl wouldn't want a manicure every week? But some choose to save money and do it themselves. If you're one of them, we need your tips before Wednesday!

After watching me try to polish my own nails while we were doing our show from Asbury Park last Friday, Lou thinks he'd be better at doing his own nails than I was, lol!

I can paint my left nails really well, since I am right-handed. But once I have to use my left hand to paint my right hand, that's when the mess begins. I just can't 'color within the lines'.

I have heard some interesting tips through the years about nail polishing...things like using cooking spray to help them dry faster, wiping your nails with white vinegar before polishing to kill oils so the polish lasts longer, etc...but if you have any really good tips to share, now's the time.

Because Lou has decided that this coming Wednesday, when we do our show live from the boardwalk in front of Jenkinson's Aquarium in Point Pleasant Beach, that he is going to challenge me to see which one of us can do a better job of polishing our own nails!

That should be fun!

Oh, and by the way, the smell of nail polish remover makes Lou gag. So I wonder if that means he'll keep it on once he commits to the manicure. Hmmmmm...maybe you should help me choose the color, too!
