DWI Checkpoint Planned in Monmouth County

The Monmouth County DWI Task Force plans to set up a checkpoint in Marlboro Township this weekend.

Michael W. Palmer, coordinator of the countywide task force, said in a press release:

The checkpoint will be in place from 11 p.m. Saturday until 3 a.m. Sunday on Route 9 north.

During this period, task force members and officers from the Marlboro Township Police Department will pull over all northbound traffic on Route 9 into the parking lot of the New York Sports Club. The officers will be observing each motorist to see if he or she is operating their vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to the statement.
