DWI Checkpoint Tonight in Eatontown

Cops will be out looking for unsafe drivers tonight -- don't be one of them!

The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will set up a checkpoint on Rt. 36 in Eatontown from 11 p.m. tonight, Friday, July 31 until 3 a.m. Saturday, August 1st.

Westbound drivers will have to pull off into the Motor Vehicle Commission parking lot, west of Monmouth Rd./Rt. 71.

Cops aren't just looking for drunk drivers or those under the influence of drugs. You can be fined and/or ticketed at the checkpoint if you're doing anything you shouldn't be, including using your phone, driving without a seatbelt, etc.

It's meant to be a deterrent to those who might hit the road after having a few, which is reason enough for me!
