Even A Rain Delay Is Fun With The BlueClaws
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to be the PA announcer for the Lakewood BlueClaws game at FirstEnergy Park. The weather didn't cooperate, but that didn't stop the BlueClaws from putting on a great show.
As the rain did it's thing I was in the booth watching the behind the scenes BlueClaws staff scramble to make sure the a faithful in the crowd were having a good time. They were playing the tunes and setting up a special rain delay sumo match on the first base line.
it wasn't long before kids were laughing and cheering and having a great time despite the weather. It's just another great example of how fun for the family is always the top priority at First Energy Park. Great job guys!
The game was ultimately postponed. The teams will play a double-header on Tuesday June 11th beginning at 6:05. All fans that had tickets for Sunday's game can take their ticket to the box office and exchange it for a ticket to a future, regular season Lakewood BlueClaws home game, not including the Celebrity Hitting Challenge and South Atlantic League All-Star Game. All tickets must be exchanged in person at the BlueClaws box office.
