All it took was one comment from Mitt Romney to allow Neptune native Andrew Bauer make a difference with his own line of t-shirts. When Mitt Romney targeted public television and Big Bird when mentioning cutbacks, University of North Carolina and Neptune High School graduate had an idea. It started with a website: www.FireBigBird.com.

With the help of his friend Taylor Robinette, the site started selling t-shirts featuring Big Bird reacting to Romney's comments. They stress these shirts have nothing to do with politics. All three shirt designs are $20 and the proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and PBS.
